Despite the cold weather, the Tribal Gals were thinking spring fever this week at Accessories the Show at the Javits Center in New York City. You should have seen our booth. Tribal Gal #1 created a mini-tiki cabana with bamboo shelving, lantern lights, and a real tiki umbrella. We even brought out our Panama Hats, colorful sarongs, and our fabulous beach sandals to further put us in the mood. And it worked. Our booth was the destination spot. Apparently, we weren’t the only ones feeling the spring fever as our new Batik Bombona necklaces and our Societe Ivoire necklaces were scooped up by various retail stores from Maine all the way down to the Bahamas.

Happy New Year from all of us Tribal Gals! While Tribal Gal #2 held down the fort home in NYC over the holidays, Tribal Gals #1 and #3 opted for some sunshine heading to Jamaica and the Bahamas respectively. But we couldn’t escape work no matter how hard we tried! Tribal Gal #3 was looking for some fun in the sun when she spotted some hot bahama mamas wearing Tribal Societe. Our Fishers Island Chic Necklace in Red was seen on Mrs. Brooks, Nassau’s hostess with the mostess, and our Hepburn Black Ivory Tagua Statement Necklace was seen on Kristie Schiff, Nassau’s golden girl. With these two wearing our jewelry, we have no doubt that it will be a naturally beautiful, bright, colorful 2010!

Last week, the Tribal Gals headed uptown to the New York Junior League’s 38th Annual Golden Tree Holiday Shopping Fair to help its volunteers prepare for a naturally beautiful holiday season by showcasing handmade fashionable accessories, soft, luxurious blankets, exquisite gift wrapping paper, and colorful scarves. We were so pleased that you all agree that our blankets and gift wrapping paper make fantastic unique holiday gifts! Early last week before Thanksgiving, Tribal Gal #1 and #3 made a whirlwind trip to Skokie, Illinios to participate in an International Holiday Boutique. Our exquisite colorful scarves and warm, soft blankets, in addition to our handmade gift wrapping paper, were huge hits. And, of course, we had to hit the town for some live Blues after two days of hard work! After all, we were in the Blues capital of the world. Believe it or not, we dared to ask our taxi driver, who recommended Kingston Mines for the real experience. Twenty minutes later, we were watching Linsey Alexander and his group (www.linseyalexander.com) take the place by storm. Eventhough our trip was less than 48 hours, Tribal Gal #1 and #3 agree that there is nothing like being swept away in the Windy City.
